An equity investment, and upgrade, and three bits of M&A news:

Prime Data Centers has two new equity owners in the mix. The private equity company Snowhawk LP and the global investment manager Nuveen have made a strategic investment in Prime, joining Macquarie, Ares, and Siemens Financial Services. Prime operates 4GW of roadmap power in the US and Europe, and the transaction is part of its plans to raise $2B to fuel expansion — although financial details were not released on this one. We had CEO Nicholas Laag on here a few years ago for a chat.

Arista has won an IX customer for its 7060X5 series switches. The Detroit Internet Exchange, which is operated by Michigan’s 123NET, has announce an infrastructure upgrade in response to the demands of traffic growth. DET-iX has passed 2Tbps of peak traffic, and the integration of two of the switches will boost its total switching capacity to 25.6Tbps.

IQGeo has completed the acquisition of Deepomatic. The deal enables IQGeo to integrate Deepomatic’s AI computer vision software into its portfolio. The company says the addition of automated field data capture and verification gives it the ability to maintain continuously updated digital twins in near real time.

Circet USA made another acquisition yesterday, following up on its purchase of Blue Streak and CCU yesterday. They have now acquired SourceOne, which specializes in OSP engineering and design. Like the other two, SourceOne will continue to operate under its existing brand, as the US subsidiary of European-based Circet continues to expand its depth on this side of the Atlantic.

And the merger between Uniti and Windstream is finally complete. The deal brings to a close the experiment of separating operations from fiber, moving the latter into a REIT structure. Now fully recombined, the company will move forward under the Uniti umbrella, although there’s a lot of work left to do. Uniti says it will be combining the two entities’ legacy debt under one silo next.
