One data center campus and three vendor deployments:
Elea Data Centers is making a big move down in Brazil. They have announced plans for Rio AI City, a giant new campus in support of AI and cloud computing in the Olympic Park region of the city. It will have an initial energy capacity of 1.5GW with more than double that potentially available. The first 80MW of new infrastructure on the campus will come online sometime in 2026.
Nokia’s technology has won some business in the IoT space. Com4 will be using Nokia’s 5G Standalone Core as the main supplier for its new infrastructure. Com4 is part of the Wireless Logic Group and is looking to enable next generation capabilities for enterprise IoT.
Meanwhile, Ericsson’s technology will be getting a workout in India. Vodafone Idea has launched their 5G services in the city based on Ericsson’s Massive MIMO radios. The network modernization project started in October of last year. Vodafone Idea is jointly owned by Vodafone and Aditya Birla Group.
MetTel has tapped Netskope to deliver network security services to both enterprise and government customers. They are leveraging Netskope One to power a managed SASE service monitored by AI that integrates a wide range of capabilities. The additional SASE stack will give MetTel flexibility in meeting the needs of a wider range of potential customers.
