Three contract wins and an inorganic data center move:

Lumen has picked up a bit more federal business this week. They announced yesterday that they have won a task order from the US Navy Judge Advocate General Corps. They’ll be providing connectivity, WiFi, UC, and managed network services across some 20 Navy JAG sites around the continental USA. It’s potentially a 12 year deal awarded under the GSA’s EIS program.

Telxius has a new connectivity option at its Derio interconnection facility. Euskaltel Group has hooked up its network there, from which it will have easy access to the Marea cable over to North America. Euskaltel is actually based in Derio and serves the Basque region of northern Spain on fiber laid with the local energy utility.

Digital Edge has made an inorganic move over in north Asia. They have acquired two additional data centers in Tokyo, Japan from ARTERIA. The deal gives Singapore-based Digital Edge six total locations: three in Tokyo, one each in Seoul and Buson, and one under development in Osaka. The first phase of the transaction has already closed, with the second phase expected by the end of this quarter.

And Juniper Networks has picked up a deal over in the Middle East. Telecom Egypt will be using Juniper’s technology to upgrade its national infrastructure. The upgrade will include 400G interfaces complemented by Juniper’s automation portfolio, enabling both greater capacity and more efficient and reliable operations.
