A few interesting items from midweek worth keeping an eye on:

RETN has added another PoP in western Europe, They have set up a new location in Digital Realty’s Amsterdam Data Tower, a 16,320 square meter facility in the Amsterdam Science Park. The new PoP joins the company’s other seven locations in the Dutch capital.

Verizon and Infinera have been busy putting 800G to the test. The two have trialed Infinera’s latest gear on Verizon’s live fiber network in preparation for increases in traffic from enterprise and consumer 5G applications. More specificly, they have successully managed 800Gbps between Nashville and Atlanta, 600Gbps from Atlanta to Memphis and back, and 400Gbps from Atlanta to Dallas and back.

And LOGIX Fiber Networks is beefing up its management team. The Texas-based regional network operator has brooss Ferguson as VP of Product, Strategy, Development, and Pricing, Fred Hamilton as Director of Channel Sales, and Cindy Lyle as Director of Wholesale Sales. LOGIX has added another 6,500 fiber miles to its network over the past year, adding 300 new business customers along the way.
