A federal contract, two partnerships, and a new product launch:

CenturyLink has picked up a second win at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. They will be managing all of NASA’s voice traffic and providing connectivity to 15 space centers and regional research facilities. That will go along with a 100Gbps core backbone network they were already providing. It’s all under the $50B EIS contract vehicle, and will be in place for pretty much the next decade if things go well.

Vonage has picked up a new strategic partner in the healthcare vertical. They are teaming up with Redox, Inc. to provide private, embedded, customizable video capabilities connecting patients and health care providers. Telemedicine is another area that is getting accelerated faster than it otherwise might have been in light of the pandemic, and communicating not just voice but data as well in sufficiently secure ways takes a lot of careful planning.

Segra has launched a new enterprise-grade Remote Office LAN product. With the pandemic and all that going on, remote workforces have been changing rapidly, and service providers are shifting their offerings to match. Segra’s offering aims to bring the office LAN and all its security features all the way into the home without using VPNs and tunneling etc. Segra’s extensive footprint in and around the Virginias and Carolinas now spans some 30K route miles.

Aryaka has won a new cloud partner. They have teamed up with Alibaba Cloud to bring their managed SD-WAN solution to a broader marketplace. China-based Alibaba is the third largest cloud provider in the world, and enterprises needing an on-ramp to it within China or not will be able to use Aryaka’s infrastructure to do so. Alibaba Cloud will offer Aryaka’s portfolio via its marketplace, and Netbank will help take it to market within China.
