Int’l Bytes: Chayora, Sinch, ServerFarm

Two deals and a war chest raised:

Chayora has raised another bundle of money as it continues to build out its Tianjin data center campus. They have reached an agreement for another $180M in series C funding from Actis, which made the original investment a few years back. The extra funds will enable Chayora to complete two hyperscale facilities in Tianjin as well as acquire land for further growth. We had CEO Oliver Jones here for an Industry Spotlight earlier this year.

The Swedish cloud communications company Sinch has made a deal that will get it into Brazil. Sinch today announced the acquisition of TWW do Brasil, which is billed as the country’s third-largest connectivity provider and serves 3000+ businesses and enterprises. Sinch is paying $44.6M for TWW, and the deal is expected to close later this month.

And ServerFarm has completed an inorganic move over in Europe. The data center developer and operator has acquired 5NINES Global Holdings, which operates enterprise and wholesale colo in the UK, France, Finland, Netherlands, and North America. The deal will boost ServerFarm’s global presence, adding several new locations in Europe and giving it a broader ability to serve global enterprises.
