Four new bits of expansion news, from data centers to network PoPs, to NOCs both domestic and international:

Aligned Energy is building out another phase of its facility in Dallas, Texas. They unveiled an 8MW expansion of the DFW-01 facility, another step toward its eventual buildout of 60MW and 375,000 square feet of space there. We had Aligned Energy CEO Andrew Schaap here for an Industry Spotlight earlier this year, where he described the company’s unique approach to data center design and construction.

Hurricane Electric’s steady expansion led to another PoP in the Pacific Northwest this week. The IPv6-native internet backbone has moved into the Seattle facility of H5 Data Centers. From there they will offer connectivity of up to 100GE and interconnection via over 200 exchange points to 7.5K different networks. H5’s facility is located in downtown Seattle at 100 Denny Way, and has some 293,000 square feet of space available.

Over in the Middle East, OmanTel has launched a dedicated ‘International Network Operation Centre’ for its wholesale business. The new NOC will oversea the company’s international networks and 20 subsea cable systems. The company has been working hard lately to raise its international profile in the wholesale space, taking aim at low latency and cloud connectivity from its perch on the entrance to the Persian Gulf.

And Epsilon has landed in a new market in the Middle East. They have partnered with ORIS Telekom to build out a PoP and deploy their Infiny platform in Turkey. The new PoP is located in TI Sparkle’s data center in Istanbul, from which they will offer access to 220 data cetners around the world via the Infiny SDN interconnection platform. ORIS will be white-labeling Infiny and taking it to market in the key hub at the border of Europe and Asia.
