A few items from around the world worth noting:

Digital Realty has some new land to build on over in Tokyo. The company’s JV with Mitsubishi, MC Digital Realty, has closed on 5 acres of land in Tokyo within the Inzai data center cluster. They plan to take down the existing building and start work next year on a 35MW facility on the site.  Meanwhile, the division also formally opened a new facility in Osaka as well.

CenturyLink is taking its SD-WAN deeper into the southern hemisphere. The global provider has launched SD-WAN across its footprint in Latin America. That enables the company’s enterprise customers to create private networks across a variety of infrastructure and access types.

And Sparkle has added a new PoP in the Middle East in a market we don’t hear about too often. They have cooperated with Naitel to put a PoP in the Jordanian port city of Aqaba on the Red Sea. Sparkle and Naitel envision the city as a potential gravitational hub for the Middle East.
