Friday Poll: Are Huawei and ZTE a Real National Security Threat?

Earlier this month, the US House of Representatives issued a report describing a potential national security threat posed by gear from Huawei and ZTE due to their ties to the Chinese military.  If you read this site often, you know my opinion.  But what’s yours?  Do you think this is credible, or just an election year gimmick?  Or a bit of both?

    Trade dumping is the real issue with these two, not security.

    100% a real threat, there is no doubt about it.

    Strongly encourage any professional evaluating these products for use on their networks to do extensive research on these companies, who backs them, where their technology came from as well as what is done with their profits.
