Easynet Global Services is teaming up with Telefonica International Wholesale in order to better reach Latin America. The agreement means the VPN MPLS services of the two companies will be connected, greatly expanding Easynet's coverage in the region and letting them provide services in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Every international carrier right now is looking for ways to better access the growing Latin American marketplace. The UK's Easynet is no different, though I don't hear from them too often these days. Telefonica is a natural partner for them, as their coverage across the entire region is very deep, but the two don't have much competitive overlap.
Several times this week now I have found new network maps that had not yet found their way into my collection of map links. Easynet joins that group with an interactive PDF. That network does not yet contain nodes in Latin America, though perhaps it soon will.
