Metro Fiber Maps Via a Map

January 13th, 2010 by · 5 Comments

Regular readers know that I love fiber maps.  I’d have to, or I wouldn’t collect links to them.  But despite that, Telecom Ramblings had no map of its own – until now.  No, I didn’t just acquire some fiber so I can add myself to my own list (someday perhaps!?).  But I did build myself a clickable map of my metro fiber maps to make them easier to navigate.  The existing list of regions was both long and arbitrarily organized, and readers looking for a fiber in a particular market had to think about not only where it was but also what I might have called it.  So instead, let’s try this:

The same map can be found via the main menu under Resources as the parent to the various submenus.

I don’t claim this map is perfect.  Actually, it was just born today via my own elbow grease.  If you see any bad links or weird behavior, don’t hesitate to let me know so I can fix it.

On another note, I have changed the Atlanta Metro Area page into the Georgia page.  That doesn’t make any difference on the content of the page since all the maps I have so in Georgia so far are in Atlanta, but it does manage to fill in a gap in coverage.
