Here’s a quick look at some of the news from the colo business from the first part of this week:

vXchnge picked up a new tenant at three of its facilities yesterday. The Seattle-based Ethernet provider Wolfe has expanded in the Northeast with multiple new PoPs at three of the company’s data centers. They’ve moved into Secaucus, Jersey City, and Chappaqua, where other tenants will have now have access to their IP and Ethernet network. vXchnge itself has plans to add another 15 markets to its footprint over the next few years.

Interxion picked up a high profile tenant over in France. Salesforce.com is planning three new European data centers in the UK, France, and Germany, and Interxion will be their partner on the one in France. The data center will be 100% green powered, and will be big piece of Salesforce.com’s overall investment in the French marketplace.

Digital Realty has found a new partner in Northern Virginia in Griffen Capital Essential Asset REIT, Inc. Digital Realty is contributing a fully leased 132,280 square foot data center and will continue to manage the property, while GCEAR will hold 80% of the joint venture. The deal puts $168.4M in Digital Realty’s pocket, partly from GCEAR’s equity capital and part from the drawdown in the JV’s new bank loan.

CoreSite had wrapped up a key certification process for 13 of its data centers. They have validated compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS 3.0) as Level 1 service provider. Last month they finished up their SSAE 16 certification, so it’s been a busy summer for their compliance guys.

And just this morning, 365 Data Centers said it has raised some new funding.  Existing investors Crosslink Capital and Housatonic Partners are putting in another $16M in series B funding, and Fortress Credit Corp is proving a $55M credit facility.  365DC will use the funding to power its growth plans.
