Monday Roundup: EdgeConneX, UPN, RCN Business, Viawest

Here’s a quick look at some of this week’s early announcements and some of last week’s later ones:

EdgeConneX and Telnet Worldwide said this morning that they will be partnering for a new data center in southeast Michigan. The Tier III facility will be located in Southfield and will launch as soon as November of this year. The expansion will help TelNet power its cloud portfolio, and will be EdgeConneX’s 14th edge data center.

Out in the Midwest, Unite Private Networks added another enterprise win. They’ll be providing connectivity of up to 100G to Targeted Metrics in Kansas City, Missouri. The sales and marketing firm is planning to quadruple its office space over the next few years, and is putting the necessary bandwidth in place.

RCN Business is providing the bandwidth at the Citi Open tennis tournament this week in Washington D.C. That’s for the live streaming, TV, internet, and wireless services along with support for the tournament’s staff. It’s the third year they’ve supported this event, which is ongoing at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center.

Andn out in Denver, ViaWest is looking to open a few new sales vectors with the launch of a new affiliate program. They’re targeting tech bloggers (hmmm…), forums, search engine marketers, small businesses, and channel partners, offering rewards for banner ads, qualified leads, and of course closed sales.
