Ramblings Jobs: A Baker’s Dozen From Lightower

June 14th, 2014 by · Leave a Comment

This week the Ramblings’ Jobs Board saw its listings surge to a historical high of 16, with the help of a cool baker’s dozen from Lightower.

Lightower is hiring throughout its network footprint in support of their rapid growth, with positions available in what seem to be all of their major office locations.  A number of new positions have been posted for the greater Baltimore area, not surprising after their recent announcement of a 270 route mile expansion in greater Baltimore:

Account Executive – Baltimore, MD Account Executive – New England Account Executive – Long Island Sales Engineer – Chicago, IL; Herndon, VA; and New York, NY
Fiber Construction Engineer – Baltimore MD/Herndon VA Application Developer CRM – Boxborough MA Fiber Design Engineer – New York Network Operations Technician – Melville NY and Boxborough MA
Field Operations Technician, Baltimore MD/Herndon VA Logical Records Specialist, Netcracker – Boxborough MA Data Engineer – NYC Data Provisioner – Boxborough MA, Herndon VA, NYC, Chicago
Account Executive – New York

Meanwhile, we’ve got three other listings still on the books.  FirstLight Fiber is looking for both a Network Engineer and a NOC Repair Technician in downtown Albany. After integrating the assets FirstLight operates deep fiber across a wide swath of upstate New York and northern New England.  In the Mid-Atlantic, Lumos Networks is looking for a Senior NOC Engineer, who would help them support and operate all the new network they’ve been putting in place in Virginia and Pennsylvania lately.  And, Jaymie Scotto & Associates is looking for an Account Manager who would be based out of their own home or office.
