Data center stock trends – Q1 2012

Data center stocks had a great performance in the first half of 2012, easily beating all market benchmarks. From now on, we’ll start sharing on Telecom Ramblings a monthly update of how the major listed data center and CDN stocks are performing on the stock exchange. To introduce the coverage, we’ll start with two articles reviewing Q1 and Q2 2012.

For each company, we’ll also give you a rough (rounded) idea of the end-of-the-month market cap, converted into US$ to make comparisons between different issuers an easier task for our readers.

The first quarter of 2012 saw almost every stocks perform positively each month, as investors were quite impressed by the growth rate of the sector in a mixed economy. Cloud computing hype did help drawing attention to most companies in our coverage:
