Ramblings Jobs: Optimum Lightpath

Another new posting on the Ramblings’ Jobs Board this week in the vibrant Northeastern bandwidth market.

Optimum Lightpath, the metro fiber division of Cablevision has posted another job opening, this time seeking a Supervisor, Circuit Facility Design.  Optimum Lightpath operates one of the deepest networks in the NYC Metro area, hooking up some 4,500 on-net buildings, a footprint they are clearly still expanding.  They have been spending special attention on the education sector lately, offering up grant programs in Westchester County and out on Long Island, as well as regularly poaching school district contracts from the ILECs.  This week they also formally introduced a next-gen hosted voice product aimed at the enterprise market..

The jobs board had a busy summer, and the autumn has started off well also.  Other job listings still on the books right now include an IP Technician from Bluebird Networks, a Business Sales Account Manager, Enterprise from Sidera Networks, and a Field Technician at Zayo.
